SDA-SRS 1.2tl Wall Brace Plug

I installed Larry's rings in one channel and have been doing some tests. I wanted to test for air tightness so I decided to push on the passive radiator to see how long it takes the 6.5" drivers to "deflate". Ideally if it was 100% air tight they would not slowly slink back to resting position. However, when I push the passive radiator in I hear a whistle!

After a few minutes of hunting this whistle down I determined it's coming from a hole in the back of the cabinet. I believe this is the hole that the back brace would screw in to.

I presume I should plug this hole - what do the experts recommend? I do not have the hardware to screw in the hole - but I could pick something up if I knew the dimensions - and assuming this is the best solution.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

all you need is a 1/4-20 button head screw 3/4 to 1" long would work fine. you can get one at any hardware store..

If you want to be real anal you could teflon tape the threads.

or just put a 1/4" rubber washer on the screw when you install it...

I like the rubber washer idea.

For Larry's rings - anyone know what kind of screws he uses for the passive radiators? I am one short. Sent him a PM but I figured I would ask here in the interest of impatience.

Additionally, does anyone know what is best used to screw them in? I was using a Torx T10 and that worked great until it broke!

Thanks for helping out someone as ignorant to tools/hardware as I am. I hope to finish up installing the rings in the other channel by this weekend. I have allen keys that work but they are so small for that screw that I don't get good torque when I am **** in. The Torx T10 worked better but even it broke while ****.

I picked up the brace screws and rubber washers at Lowes.

I was unable to find a black 8-32 button head allenhead 3/4" long screws at Lowes. I will have to try Home Depot next - they are the only two hardware stores in the area. Mom and pop places have all vanished.

Thanks - used their online store locator to find one 20 minutes from my house. Will try to make it out there and report back.
