A guy found me through an add I placed on Canuck Audio Mart. He has a pair of these in mint condition, from what he says. Hes going to e-mail some pictures later this evening. Hes had a guy interested who has offered him $400.00. I'm thinking I may be able to get a great deal on these. He only live 45 minutes from here, which is another bonus.

That sounds like a good deal if they're in good condition. Paid $600 for mine.

Yeah, if you can pick them up for that kind of dough, go for it. Doesn't matter if they are Pin/Blade or B/B, either style makes for an excellent speaker.

I guess these will dig a little deeper in the bass than my SDA2A's.

^^ Yes they will. And a wider stage as well. And more dynamic range.

For a 100+ more for the SRS2 than the 10b, it is a no brainer. The SRS2 is the best keep secret Polk has. I own a pair and the 2.3tls. Both are excellent.

    good luck there.

I love my SRS2's and still need to tighten them up. 500.00 would still be an awsome price.

Damn right that's a good price.

Even though it's not that big of a deal, ask to see if he's got the interconnect cable as well.

They will be better than the 2A's in every area.

Just for your own knowledge, I would ask if they are the b/b version or the p/b version. The blade/blade are 4 ohm speakers. You have the amps to run either one. The p/b version also has different drivers. Any knowledge that helps you decide how much you are willing to spend and know what you are getting into is a good thing. Just some advice from someone who has been there.

+1 , I couldn't tell from the pics if it was B/B or P/B either, but definitely would be nice to know. I have the P/B and they are great:)

Now that I looked at the pictures closer, the SRS 2's you are looking at are the blade/blade version. The pin/blade are bi-ampable. They look to be in great shape. It's now up to you to decide how much to spend on them. I have had both. The original SRS 2's dig deep in the bass area and are similar to the original SRS sound. The pin/blade version is a beefed up SDA 1C sound. Both are going to rock your house and annoy your neighbors. Good luck.

Good find. Don't forget the IC. It's not shown in the photos. Looks like blade/blade.

Sorry you missed out on these Reno, they sounded like a sweet deal. Hopefully they went to a good family who will take care of them for years to come, who knows, maybe the guy will join CP with the rest of us. Hang in there, I'm sure another set will come along.
