'Similar Threads' before posting

Lately, I have seen a lot of threads where someone will say "this has been discussed extensively such and such time ago". a lot of people don't search before posting because it's a pain.
I remember going to a forum to ask an obscure question. When I typed in my thread title, at the bottom of the screen was a list of similar threads... to my astonishment, the exact same thread was made a few years before and it answered my question.
I know this is like a lazy mans search, but since we have similar threads and all, it would be cool if it were integrated into the new thread window.
I know that changes/updates do not occur around here very often, but I think this would be useful for whenever the next update takes place.

There was a thread about this last week.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
