Custom End Table Subwoofer

I'm offering up the end table sub I built recently first for my fellow polkies. It is a 10 inch sub tuned to 20 Hz with a 300 watt amp. For now it will be unstained until I have a buyer, and after payment I will stain it to whatever the buyer chooses. I have 15 different colors available which are listed in the build link provided on the second page. I will honor the 1 year warranty that came with the Bash amp and the RE Audio 10 in sub. That is ofc something happens to it from misuse such as say smashing something through the speaker lol., or some other form of abuse. I will be trying to mainly stay local within a 300 mile radius of Akron, OH (44320) I say this because then I will personally deliver it to you for only the cost of gas, in my Scion Tc, not the truck:tongue: This is definitely cheaper than shipping, by quite a bit. But if you really really want it bad and don't live close, I can ship but as you know it won't be cheap. There are also many pics in the build link provided for you to see.

I'm asking $550 and unless you live relatively close to me in Ohio, just a charge for gas, but I will cap the charge at a maximum of $50.

The build link http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111167

Thank you, Laszlo

Oops I forgot to add that I prefer paypal but will also accept a postal money order, which I would ofc wait till it clears to stain and deliver the sub:biggrin:

Also wanted to add that you can choose either a semi-gloss finish or a satin finish after it's been stained.

Thanks! Nope no plans, just came up with it on my own. I built one similar for a friend before Christmas last year as a present from his girlfriend. Except that it was a 12 in sub.

I'm not in the market for one, but if I ever needed an end table sub, I would want it to look just like yours. Really, really nice work!

Ok I think I might have some good news for those of you that live too far for local. I found out today that this weighs in at right around 85-90 lbs. This means that it does not require freight shipping:biggrin: I just did a generic shipping quote with UPS and Fdex to zip 90001, which is an L.A. zip and it was between $97-$113. And $68-$83 to 10292, a New York zip. this is just to give you an idea on some shipping charges, these are not exact. And I did take into account that the packaging will be larger than the sub.

Well I guess I will drop this to $525 as I would really like a polkie to get a hold of this, as this way the person buying this could give their take on the sub on here. Unfortunately if there will be no takers I will have to try my luck on Craigslist and Ebay as well.

Well since there hasn't been any interest on here I also decided to go ahead and list this on Ebay and Craigslist. It will still be available on here as well to Polkies:biggrin:

Well no sale on Ebay so I guess it's time to drop the price:eek: Unfortunately I think the dream ends here lol:frown: Also I have more than just 1 sale on here if anyone might be hesitant of buying from me, the sales rating system went down right after my others sales, dohhh lol.

$475+shipping or the same offer to deliver it myself within a 300 mile radius of 44320 for just some gas money up to $50.

greyford1979, why don't you use this prototype for demo wyth Polkies within your area with a deal that they must post a review (good or bad) that should get this custom product known and hopefully entice demand?

Someone has to need this don't they? I really don't have a need, or the money necessarily, but someone buy this thing and don't let greyford lose any kind of profit!!

Unfortunately I don't have the time to do this, although would be nice if I could.

I think you are giving up a little too easily! If you had this project truly at heart, success would mean patience and a little ingenuity to market your product, thus the reason for suggesting demo(s) as people don't know your product and without auditioning it at that price they will definitely not move. If you could get a few positive demo reviews, that should get your product going. Think of maybe a potential Polk Fest demo.

What about trying to buddy up with a local brick and mortar (if there are any) in your area, and letting them stick it somewhere and see what happens? Just throwing out thoughts... Good luck, if it sounds half as good as it looks, you'll have no issues turning these once you get some good word on it!

Well still no sale so dropping the price, however I can't offer the full year warranty on the amp and driver as time passes :frown: Also I'm still willing to deliver to those closer to Ohio. Need it gone, just sitting unused with only a very short time of use on it when I tested it.

    $395+shipping

    $350+shipping?

I really don't want to go any lower than the $375 but here it is:frown: It would cost someone right about $400 just to build one of these themselves. Just need it gone and trying to get some of my money back.

Dude you're killing me. If didn't just buy an HSU VTF-3 for a great price I would be very tempted at this price (WAF is much higher with the end table look IMO).

Surely someone will buy this incredible looking sub?!?!

Have you been listing it on Craigslist too?

My customer was a cockbite and ended up backing out of the whole install, so I'm off the buy-list. Sorry buddy!
