I picked up a pair of these things today. Listed under the "free stuff" section on the local CL. I gotta say, they're not bad for what I paid.
In all seriousness they are pretty nice when you're sitting right in between the two speakers. But when you deviate from the center, they sound like poo. Just pitiful. But that's the case with a lot of 2.1 systems.
They have a pretty balanced sound. The base has surprising substance and is pretty tight for the most part, but can get muddy at times. Plenty of substance in the highs. Lacking in the mids. Then again, that's what Bose is known for.
Regardless, they make good desk speakers for an office or small bedroom. Not really meant to fill a medium to large room with sound, but perfect for small office/work spaces.
Not worth the retail price IMO. Either way, I'm going to make a nice profit off these :biggrin:
