Anyone know what's happening with Yahoo-mail. A lot of people can't access accounts. Error message comes up 'code '17'?

Any clues as to what's happening? Jstas (John), perhaps?

    Is YAHOO 'down' again??????

I can't sign into my e-mail. It takes me to change your password and then NOTHING happens. So now I don't know if I've actually changed my password, my account has been 'compromised' or Yahoo techs have just F-d things up like John suggests above. And there is almost NO way of getting an answer from Yahoo.

Anyone else having problems on this fine Cinco de Mayo day?

    Thanks,

I was able to log into mine, even upgraded to the beta version. Never asked me to change my password.

Yeah...Yahoo still exists. And when you're as old as I am that means you've had your account for at least two decades and habits are hard to change!

I love Tech stuff...but hate things like 'texting', 'facebook', 'IMs', etc., because "I" like to control who has 'access' to me and who doesn't. I don't feel like being 'on call' 24/7--if I did I would have gone into Medicine. lol

Give me the 'power' of Technology and step aside. I'll get back to you when I deem necessary.

In any case. I was forced to change my password. Not sure if this has anything to do with the Sony debacle as I have a PSN handle and access but no credit account there? Or whether it's just Yahoo (perhaps 'outsourcing' its NEW email look--which I haven't subscribed to yet)!

In any case, Yahoo is currently on the ShXt-list! Twice in two weeks. And probably next week as well?

I've had mine a dozen years or so. Not really habit, but great to have when I don't want to give out my "real" email adress.

My real email address remains spamless, and it's even older..

I also have a few e-mail accounts and almost all have a modicum of spam. Of course since I had to access all of those accounts while living in China last year--I'm sure there were breaches in all of them (I often receive Chinese spam in addition to what you all get?).

Sony and Yahoo? Good one! Not that I know of!
