Im planning to buy this HT system. I did like the sound and found it better than Onkyo 9300 HT package and also onkyo rx 508 amp and ELAC 5.1 speakers (not sure on about the model.). Any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated.

Polk Audio

TSi 300 (Floor standing)
CS 10 (Center)
OWM 3 (rear speakers)
PSW 110 (Sub)

Denon AVR-1911

Thank You.

At one point in my HT set-up I was running a Denon 1909 and an all monitor setup and later an RTi setup using RTi-8s and it sounded fantastic. I would have kept that but I bought a pair of RTi-10s and later RTi-12s and I found myself needing more power to properly push the speakers. I bought an Onkyo 806. Personally I thought the Denon 1909 sounded much better than the Onkyo 806. The 806 was still not enough power so I ended up buying several amplifiers to get the most out of the RTis. Later I switched the 806 to a Denon 2809 while still running all of the amps and subs and it sounded absolutely fantastic. I haven't changed my ht setup since. If I could have done it all over again however I would have kept the Denon 1909 and the RTi-8 setup with my two DWS Pro 600 subs as my HT setup and used all of the money that I spent on the various amps and larger sperakers for the HT setup on my two channel setup instead. That 1909 and RTi-8 setup was the best bang for the buck setup I ever experienced. I think the 1911 and the speakers you are mentioning using combo would be great.

Looks good to start with. Please keep in mind you are on a forum that will always recommend more. We love to spend your money.

My recommendation would be to get larger fronts. The 300's are the smallest towers in the TSI series. They are basically TSI200's as a tower. I would recommend stepping up to the 400's or possibly going with the monitor series. The monitors are the previous version of the TSI's and can be had for a great price on Newegg. Also I would get the larger center if I could fit it. If you are going to watch a lot of movies then the center is used a lot.

Here is a break down of the monitor vs TSI series.
    monitor 50 = TSI 300
    Monitor 60 = TSI 400
    monitor 70 = TSI 500

    hope this helps.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

Thanks a lot Dawgfish & packetjones. I took a demo of Tsi 400 today. They sounded much better than TSI 300. So i have gone with TSI 400 :)

BTW its very expensive to buy HT systems in India. This package comes upto $2k :(

I've got almost the exact same system (purchased it about a year ago or so). Here we are months down the way, and both the wife and the rest of the family are still rather happy with the sound and performance. You can certainly do a LOT worse for a package if that's how it's being offered to you.

Best of luck to you and whatever you decide on your final components - enjoy!

    One other thought...

I'm really not sure how much difference you'll really hear in the TSi line between the 300's and the 400's. They both use identical drivers, with of course, the only difference being one more 5 1/4 added to the 400's. If you're really looking to see an appreciable difference, I would suggest the 500's, which as you may already know, move you up to the larger 6 1/2 drivers and 4 of them to boot - which will outshine the 2 or 3 smaller drivers in the previously mentioned units.

I understand cost is always an issue, and perhaps that's your main limiting factor in this case, I don't know. But if you're looking to upgrade, I would skip the 400's and just move into the 5's. My 2 pence, but as always, YMMV.

    Best!

Thanks Uilleann for your input. I found bass to be more deeper in tsi 400. So went with it. Overall im very happy with the sound.
