Elemental Designs A5-300

I have for sale a Elemental Designs A5-300, I would rate it an 8/10. Works great and looks like new due to it's durable finish. The only reason for the sale is that I replaced it with a much larger SVS.

Due to it's size and weight, local pick up only at this time.

For more info: http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?products_id=103

Asking $300, thanks.

This is one bad-a$$ sub, lots of power for its small-ish footprint.

Does an admirable job even on a carpeted concrete slab, nothing to sneeze at, IMO.

If I did not already own an SVS, this would not be here after today!

    Free bump, GLWTS too.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

hows the port noise on these things with corner placement. I have a preference towards sealed designs due to my aversion to even the hint of port noise. Do you have it in the corner or more towards the center of the room next to the speaker. I'm located in north jersey so a pickup drive is doable albeit somewhat long... my other concern is how to mate it with my current sub in a dual config. Did you also manage to get the 20hz in your room. My current sub rolls off below 25hz and I'm wondering how much EQ/tuning will be required to mate the two...

I had it approximately 3" from a side wall, and 3' from the rear wall and couldn't detect any port noise.

I was told by eD that this model was tuned to 20hz. In my room I had flat response down to 25hz, but since each room is different, you could do better or worse.

Depending on your room and placement, in general multiple subs may not net deeper response, but will definitely give you smoother response.

Thanks. Yes, I'm aware that with multiple subs, its more about getting more output with less distortion, rather than hitting lower. the challenge of 2 subs with very different -3db frequencies is that the output is going to be somewhat variable if one digs lower than the other... Looks like a heck of a sub but I'll have to pass... GLWTS

Relax. The seller hasn't posted on here since before you posted your PM notice the first time... Maybe he hasn't even been online. The way it works around here is that you'd most likely be first in line, except with that attitude... idk.

Easy champ; let Face answer your questions and post if you're still interested. If not, I have interest in possibly purchasing this subwoofer. Is that good enough for you?

multiple subs are tricky the only way to get 100% from each is to have the same models and both in the same location .
I have 2 subs one in the cornor and the other (a differant one) is about 5 feet away what I found the cornor sub hit lower and with the other sub
?loud? I would still get increased volume (spl) but it would eat the lows (20-30 hz) .
So its kinda a game get the other sub to blend if it wont just keep the better one .

If Mike decides to ship, I would want to buy it. I think he is looking for a local sale due to the size and weight of this thing, though.
