I have put the rdo-194 tweets in my 2a's but not sure if its right. The only markings I can see are a silver terminal and red terminal on the tweets and a white and black wire. Which way do I hook it up as both ways I hear sound.

There's a recent thread on tweeter polarity for the RTA 12's, in which it was determined that the black wire, though positive from the speaker wire terminal to the crossover, is connected to the negative terminal on the tweeter. The white wire (ground or negative) connects to the postive terminal which should be the one with the red dot.

    See http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118691

Not sure of the xover design for the 2A's. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in. Good luck!

Take everything that drumminman said and flip it. The RTA12 is a unique speaker in the Polk lineup wiring wise. I have never seen the tweeter polarity flipped as it is in that speaker on any other Polk speakers.

For your 2A's the Black wire goes to the red dotted (Positive Side) terminal on the tweeter and the white wire goes to the unmarked (Negative side) of the tweeter.

The 1.2's and the 1.2tl's are wired in opposite phase of one another..
