Any of you guys on the Beta. I've been playing for a few days now, loving it so far. Graphics looks pretty darn good. Maps are big but not too big if that makes sense. If you guys are on, let's get it.

Playing it via Bulletstorm. So far, there are a few balance issues. The sawed-off needs to be toned down a bit, because right now it's basically the rape-cannon. I really like the retro lancer for mid-range combat, but I think I need to focus on learning to use the Hammerburst more. Love the Gnasher though.

Still haven't tried King Of The Hill, but the Team Deathmatch feels really good. All that said, when I get the full game, I'll probably spend more time playing the co-op or Horde mode than any of the adversarial stuff. But it is nice to see that they've fixed a lot of the problems with Gears 1&2.

I don't have my 360 any longer, but the one thing I remember about the first one was how difficult I remember it being at first...and how fun it was

Gears competitive multiplayer never did it for me. Probably because i couldn't keep up with the twitch play style of hopping all over creation. If they had Horde mode in the beta, now that would be a different story. Hundreds of hours spent in that mode in GoW2!! Beat it every which way and twice on Sunday. Insane difficulty is just what it implies....good times.

I've been playing Gears since Nov 2006...heck at one time I played it daily for over 2 years straight.

I was ranked #73 in the world at this game.

GOW3 feels to much like Gears 2.....as of right now.

The Sawed Off needs to be a power pick up weapon, the camera shake is more than Gears 1 & 2 combined ..I get dizzy when running....the hit detection is off theres a delay when hitting someone and them reacting to shot...this can all be fixed ......the game doesnt come out till Sept.......................Crossing fingers

Hit detection has only been screwy when the dedicated servers are down and an individual is hosting. I agree about the Sawed-off though. They need to nerf it a little. But hey, that's why they do a beta - to figure this stuff out before the game launches.

I liked GOW 2 far more than 3 - will pick up 3 when it comes out most definitely
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

    Strykker,

I agree with you on the camera shake. When I play in the theater, it's hard to tell what's going on when I'm running in the game. On the 126" screen it's pretty bad. If they can tone it down a tad, that too would be welcome.

Heh... I thought about it, but then I realized that I also had to buy Modern Warfare 3, Rage, The Gunstringer, Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City and Deus Ex: Human Revolution before the year is out... so I'm just getting the regular edition of GoW3.

So I watched the Epic announcement online today. They have added a Veteran Gear achievement for Gears 3. If you have your wings from GOW2 you will unlock the gold gnasher. Also announced that if you buy the branded controllers or XBox you get the "infected" skins for all weapons. Other thing you can unlock is just like the Gears page on facebook & you can get an unlock code for Griffen playable character.

Hey Kuntasensei did you get Deus Ex? Wondering how that came off- heard from a friend it's kind of repetitive.

So far, I'm digging Deus Ex. It's no more repetitive than any other RPG... and the quests are pretty varied. Plus, the combat is essentially the same as Rainbow Six Vegas, so no real learning curve. The stealth parts have been a bit frustrating, but that's more because I'm impatient than it is a flaw in the game. Heh...

If you still have Gears 2, they're running 20x XP right now until the release of Gears 3... and if you can get up to level 100, you'll get a special weapon skin in Gears 3.

I got my wings about 18 months ago. I can't wait for the new one. Kind of bummed though I dont have XBox live right now. Somebody hacked my account and pimped 10K points using my login on thier hard drive. Charged my credit card but XBox reversed the charge. I changed passwords but they put me on hold for 8-25 days.
