Mixing Monitor 50's with RT 600 and CS400i

I have a ten year old set of Polk speakers. They've been used for about six years and been in storage for four. They are 2x RT 600 and 1x CS 400i Center. I'm driving them with a Pioneer VSX 816 receiver (7.1, using 5.1 mode, 110wpc x7).
I bought two Monitor 50's, which arrive tomorrow, to round out the set. My question is, do I use the 10 year old RT 600's (1x6.5" driver) for my fronts, or the Monitor 50's (2x5.25" drivers)? The Monitor 50's are new, and have about 10"^2 more driver surface area. My receiver has a nice MCACC (auto-setup), that auto EQ's the speakers to make them sound alike. It works remarkably well.
In addition to this setup I am adding (arrives tomorrow), to replace my worn-out PSW120:

for a subwoofer.
The auto setup on the receiver always suggests to set my CS400i and RT600's to "Large", but I usually choose small and use a 80hz crossover setting.

Knew someone was going to say that! Yeah, it's kind of an odd combo. I'll probably leave one of the RT 600's connected up front, and put a Monitor 50 on the other front channel and compare the two.
How long is the "break-in" period on new speakers these days?
