CDs (LOTS of them)

So over the years I've become quite the hoarder of CDs and have well over 4000 CDs at this point, after I sell these
The problem with buying as many CDs as I do is that you inevitably end up with one of two problems:
1 - Having duplicates of some titles
2 - Having alot of music that you've either 'grown out of' or just don't listen to any more, or in some cases are embarassed to have ever owned.
Well, both of those apply to me. I have some things that I don't listen to any longer and a bunch of things I just have duplicate copies of.
Most of these I have original jewel cases and inserts for, for the ones that I don't I'll put them all in a soft case. I've listed those separately.
There are 286 CDs all together, and a little bit of everything as far as selection goes. This is a long shot, but I'm going to give it a day or two to see if someone wants the whole set. If nobody wants the whole lot then I'll price individually and sell in bunches (need to figure out what quantity makes the most sense for shipping and all that).
So, $500 takes the lot if anyone is interested. Otherwise, I'll start pricing individually after a day or so.

Tempting but, shipping on 200+ CD's is going to be expensive. Also, I'm kind of put off by the amount of Dave Matthews Band and Dream Theater in the collection. However, if you do break it up, I will gladly take all of the Jazz and Classical albums, jewel case or not, off your hands.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Dave Matthews and Dream Theater are two of my favorite bands, in fact they'd probably both be on my 'desert island top 5' list

That's fine. I'm not opposed to them but not necessarily enthralled enough to go owning 22 albums between the two bands. Besides, two of them from DMB would be repeats for me as well. I count about 20 albums in your list that would be dupes for me. Not that $500 for 200+ albums isn't a screaming deal. It's just under a buck fifty an album. But if there's 40-45 of them I'd get rid of myself right off the bat, I'm kinda not wanting to drop the coin on buying myself a chore, ya know?
Not trying to dump on your thread. If I was in the DFW area, I'd be at your front door, $500 in hand and take the ones I have/don't want to a 2nd hand music store and take the $1-1.50 they'd give me for them and be happy as a clam.
But I know how much 286 CD's weigh and the shipping costs would add a 3rd of the price to the total for me.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Understand completely. I've already started the process of pricing them all out as I have very little expectation of anyone grabbing the whole lot. I'll probably wrap up that process tonight and post it up. The prices individually won't be $1.50, but they won't be $8 either, they'll still be priced to move.
-
OK, a couple things guys...
1 - If someone does take the whole package I'll split shipping with you.
2 - I've received numerous requests via PM for certain titles or groups of titles. If you're interested in something please post it here, its the only way I'm going to be able to keep track of it. -
I'll take if it will be split.
All the Coldplay, Diana Krall, Muse, Depeche Mode, Radiohead and Charlie Parker - 1952 Jam Sessions
Thanks! -
I'd be willing to take:
Queensryche - Mindcrime
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Dave Koz
David Sanborn
[added]
Chris Botti
Tower of Power - Tower of Power
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -

Guys, keep in mind that Jstas called dibs on all the jazz and classical, so most likely all this are spoken for.
-
OK, here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna put a list up online of everything and number it then you guys can let me know which ones you want. I'm going to touch base with everyone who's posted here so far (in order) to get everyone taken care of, then will create a new thread for the split sale.
Please don't post anything further in this thread or Pm me on these, lemme get everyone here taken care of first then I'll open up the list to everyone.
Sorry for any confusion.
