as it says in the title I am new to building anything to do with audio and I do have a couple of questions. my setup so far consists of a Denon avr-791, (2) Polk TSi100, CS10, PSW110. I am now looking to add the remaining speakers. should I stay with the TSi series and just go with the TSi300/400 for the fronts? I did see a pair of RTi A3 on ebay that were reasonably priced. Would that make sense?

Been reading the forum for a couple of months and have learned so much from all of you, thanks for that and for any of your opinions/advice.

looks like the OMW3's are the recommended surround for the TSi's.. have you looked at those?

oh, you are looking for speakers to add for the fronts? going with the TSi floor-stander seems reasonable enough to me..

I would stick with the TSI series. The only this is if you do the RTI line for the fronts you really should change out your center channel so it will all timbre match. Normally if your doing HT you want the front 3 to be match and the surrounds can be different.

So if you did the A3's look at the center channels as well and if go that route move your current speakers to surround duty. You can always upgrade or change those later if you want.

otherwise the TSI or Monitor series (little bit different for look but sound very very similar) could be used. This could help you save some money if you want and you could look at doing the Monitor 30's and they go up to the largest floorstander of the Monitor 70's. However if doing the floorstanders I would also recommend changing the center to the CS2 or CS20 for improvment there as well.

    What he said:biggrin:
I would get the 400's or some monitor 70's and put the 100's on surround duty, and maybe look at getting a better center.

thx...I get a pretty decent accomodation from work so I'll go with the 400's. if I can ask, what does the CS10 center lack that it would need to be changed out?
