For sale is my Musical Fidelity A3CR power amp.
I'm the second owner of this amp and would rate it 8.
$700 + actual shipping double boxed to lower 48 only.
Paypal add 3% or select personal

The amp looks and sounds excellent....powerful and clean sounding. I just moved on to my first tube amp so have to give this one up.

Dual Mono Design
120 WPC, 8 Ohms
210 WPC, 4 Ohms

I've been having trouble uploading photos here so you can see them at Flickr, just click on the "older" to see the next photo. (Am I the only one with issues loading pics lately?)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/22195126@N05/5651753148/

Sorry the photos are darker than I thought, though there is neither anything to hide or see.

Let me know of any questions.

Thanks
Rich

Do you know how Musical Fidelity handles the grounding on its dual mono configuration?

I didn't see any SDA's in your signature, so I'm curious if it is common ground, strap-able if not common ground, or if an AI1 is needed for those SDA's that can use it.

I just ran through the manual and didn't see anything specific on this but I wouldn't know grounding if it shocked me.

The pdf of the manual is below. Not sure if it holds any clues to answer your question though.

OK, inspiredsports has shown an interest and I will not compete with that. He gets first dibs as I do not want to produce rain on his intentions. That said, I am very interested.

    Is it still under warranty?

We'll see. It depends on whether or not I'm too late. Well, that and a couple of other different things. When is your new Firestarter coming back?

    *stab, stab*

Never mind, don't answer that. This is a FS thread, after all.

Only to help Rich with the questions.....it's not common ground, it's not strap-able and it's not under warranty.

Hey Rich, I just sent you another PM. Thanks. I do have a question for you, though. A good friend of mine had mentioned that the binding posts weren't tolerant of a certain type of connector. I currently have nanner's, do I need to order spades or am I good to go?

I'm looking forward to hearing this on the Tyler's.

Hmm, I used Audioquest and Audioart cables both with Bananas with no issue. I guess it's possible there might be some type that might not fix perfectly but seemed all good to me.

I have two Anthem1 tube amplifiers. Both of them are now in need of repair and I would like to do some upgrades to them while I'm at it. Since that will take some time, I wanted something that would provide me with sound in the meantime.

I bought this as a "back-up" amp but.......we'll see how she does. She might just steal the show. Inspired, I'll be doing a shootout as soon as it gets in and warms up. I've had the Anthem's in the rig for some time now and I know exactly what they sound like. Tubes -vs- Class A amplifier.....sounds like fun!

Eh - I like tubes but you have to much tubes. This will prove it!

    ;)

I look forward to you ranting about it bouncing sound waves off the peaks of the spikes in your popcorn ceiling.

    Love,
