Help with importing an RAR file into iTunes

I downloaded 3 CDs, they are in an RAR file format. I have no idea what this is or how I can get it into iTunes. Any one know how?

Download winrar to unzip them first. Google it.

the above will work.... a rar is an archive, much like a zip file......... it's a compressed container.... you must extract the contents from it before use
