RTI A3 rear speaker Placement (How high)
I am going to use some polk RTIA3's for my rear speakers.
I read a review where they sound best within 30 to 60 degrees from center.
Typically people place the rear speakers higher than that.
Should I stick within 60 decrees from listening position? In my room I could do it either way.
It would likely look better higher up, but that is only a small part of the concern.
Opinions are greatly appreciated particularily from those that have them or similar polk speakers.

I m getting rid ofthe TSI 500's. They are shifting to anothe room. I am in the process of rewireing and moving things around. In doing so, I had only hooked upn the TSI 500's and was not impressed. When I got them they sounded great to me, but after getting spoiled by the RTI series, I wanted something timbre matched as well.
In the other room I will have tsi 500's 300's cs20, and OWM 5's.
I also think I am going to upgrade my subs. The PSW 505's do ok, but in some movies with quick tight bass they flubb out and lose composure. -
thanks, they need to be ear level, when I was using a pair of FXI3,s as side surrounds they were on stands. I have a micropro 4000 its outstanding also the black piano finish looks great.Emotiva XPA5, Sony ES 5300,: Lsi 15,s LSIC, Monitor 70,s, ( side surrounds) FXI 3,s, (rear surrounds)Micropro4000, Velodyne DEQ 10, Sony 55inchXBR 930D Sony BDP 790 Bedroom rig SonyES 3200 RTIA1,s CSIA4 FXI3,s polk PSW 10 SONY 34inch XBR960:cool:SONY BDP550

You will often hear of setting your surround speakers at ear level when standing. With speaker stands this is impossible, some of us have little choice though. My room is asymmetrical with sloped ceilings so I have to go with speaker stands ... still sounds damn good to me though.
