Hi guys, I personally do not own a pair of any Polks right now. I do have a 2- ch. rig that it's speakers do need improvement. Now not knowing a thing about Polks I saw a pair of Polk Model 7s at a buy it now price for $80.00. First off are these bookshelf or floorstanders.My only interest would be in floorstanding speakers.
Next, if you have to compare how would the Polks stand up to the InfinitySM112s. I have no problems w/ my
Infinitys but I would like to someday upgrade to either Klipsch Heritage Line
such as Chorus I-II FortesII or Cornwalls. As for Polks I heard so much of the SDA LINE that if I had the cash they would be a serious consideration.
So back to the 7s anything there, or just a speaker and my Infinitys for now are as good or better. Thanks ,I promise I will not ask every time a speaker pops up and want a comparison opinion.....LW

    You won't be disappointed in any of the SDA's. I have the lowly 2A's and I love them. Keep your eyes open and you may findsome 2A's or 2B's on the cheap and get your feet wet.

    They look like the original Monitor 7's with the peerless tweets. They are very good speakers but there seems to be issues with them. Such as some repairs that were done to them seem questionable and the woodgrain is lifting on some corners. If you can pick them up and not have to deal with shipping costs then I would say maybe. If you can't pick them up I would pass and find a better set. They are out there.

    If you want some serious floorstanders, there is a pair on audiogon, SDA SRS 2.3TL for $875 obo in Bella Vista, Ar. They look pretty nice!
