Can Blu Ray player convert DTS to Dolby Digital?(not the disc)

Are there any blu ray player that can conver dts to dolby digital? I got a IHT 6000 that does not support dts format, I have it hooked up directly from the blu ray player with digital optical cable.

I have my audio setting that can downmix from dts, and I believe downmixing from dts format is just a regular 2.0 stereo format. I am just trying to figure out how to max performance with IHT 6000.

I thought, well there's gotta be something that can convert dts to dolby digital with all the technologies we have. Are there any blu ray that has a built in setting option that can convert dts to dolby digital? Thanks for your help, some of you guys are so smart. Within 2 weeks reading some posts, it really taught me a lot.

    IMHO...DD and DTS in standard fair are not that much apart, I wouldn't worry about it. What your missing is the newer surround formats that blu ray can give you. For that though, you'd need a receiver and 5.1 speakers.

    As far as converting dts to dd, can't think of anything off the top of my head.
