Monitor 10 stands

Hey All - I'm desperately looking (so far in vain) for a set of stands for these incredible speakers. I got them from a friend, who got them from a friend, for free. they were in great shape, and I can't pass anything like this up, so I took them and plugged them into a Marantz 2225 and was astonished at how great they sounded with such little power. I needed to replace one of the Peerless tweeters (pin hole version) and the sound just got better. So I'm reading up more and more and I hear that these babies need to be off the floor to truly sound as full as they can. I called Polk support and the guy got me excited because, although they stopped manufacturing the stands, he thought they still had some laying around. Alas it was not be! So, he told me to sign up with this forum because it's a tight group of friendly people looking out for one another.

    I'm not sure if friendly is a word I'd use for this forum but if you have a Polk question, this is the place.

    No, there are ZERO stands laying around or available for your purchase since they are 20+ years old. No stands are available for that loudspeaker, nor will they ever be available, contrary to what you were told by that "individual" from Polk Audio.

    However, there are plans to make your own stands available on this website. There are members that have had there own stands made based on stock spec's including myself.

    If there were stock stands available 20+ years later....I assure you I would do everything possible to obtain them before you asked in one way shape or form, essentially so you do not get them.

    Why would you buy a pair of 10's then sell the stands?:confused:
