It hasn't been announced yet on Audio Fidelity's site, but Steve Hoffman is remastering this classic for them, so keep your eyes open. As much as I'm looking forward to this one, I wish it was an SACD.

I'll have to check that out. I've got several TYA albums, but have never heard any on cd. I'm with you george, Cricklewood always gets a good response when I play it.

Thanks for the info Jesse. I will definately have to hear what others say before I buy this though. Don't want another 90125.

George, Cricklewood Green was remasted by MFSL (along with Shhhh on the same CD!!) about 8 or so years ago. It is the best sounding version of this album I have heard. Cricklewood Green is my favorite Ten Years AFter album.....

Jesse, have you had a chance to listen to this yet? I would be interetsed in a review of what you think of the mastering of it.

Speaking of the Outlaws just found used at the local Cd shop Hurry Sundown, and Bring it Back Live, just cant figure out who would part with these, as the old saying goes one mans lost is another mans gain.

My copy arrived this past Friday. Put it in the big rig and just like the last two gold CD's (Machine Head, S&G/ P,S,R and T) I purchased from Audio Fidelity, it chatters like crazy. The 10 gold AF CD's I purchased before Machine Head play perfectly, which tells me that something has changed with the actual discs. Spoke with AF about it, but they said they've had no other complaints like mine. However, they said they'd look into it. We'll see. As not one of my other CD's or SACD's have this issue, I think the cause of the problem is pretty obvious. I hope they can figure out what's changed and fix it otherwise I'll have to think very hard about giving them my business in the future.

If anyone reading this has a chatter problem with any of the CD's I mentioned above, please let me know.

So........playing the CD in my other rig I can say the sound quality is simply superb with a huge sound stage and depth that's to die for. I wasn't unhappy with my BGO issued copy, but the AF issue makes the BGO sound pretty rough around the edges. My hat is off to Steve Hoffman on this one.

AF got back to me and they want me to send at least one of the three CD's that I'm having a problem with to them so that they may send it/them to the plant for inspection. Call me impressed with their customer service.

    OK, keep us posted Jesse.

As for the audio mastering itself, you thought it was well done though, correct? It is only with the CD manufacturing that there is a problem if I understand correctly?
