Ok, I'm a power cord skeptic, I admit it. BUT, I'm not a power cord basher. I don't rule out the possibility of sonic impact even if it does seem to defy common sense. However, up until now all I've ever done is buy some lower gauge thicker cords for my equipment. Cost me about $5 each. For one thing, I hate the way most after market power cords are over the top thick and have no flexibility. And many are so heavy they could actually damage your equipment. They are often ridiculously short as well. And I don't like those monster sized connectors on the ends. It's all very ugly. I would never buy any of those cords just based on appearance alone. I also would never spend serious money on power cords since I am a skeptic at heart.

However, if there was a cheap power cord that looked good, was flexible, and wasn't overly thick (while still providing a respectable low gauge conductor), I would definately consider hedging my bets and investing in that product. Why not? If it's cheap, and looks good, it can't hurt and it might just provide some of that sonic magic the power cord lovers are always talking about. Well, the Shunyata is just such a cord. At $99 for a nearly 5 foot cord, molded one piece with a very attractive look. Nicely flexible and only a smidge thicker than a my generic black hospital cords. Sign me up.

Well first you will have to figure out the point of online forums. Think real hard about that one and come back when you figure it out....

I had 2 Shunyata Venom power cords with the 20 amp connectors since my left and right amps have the IE19 connectors. I had upgraded everything else with Pangea power cords and loved the result, but Pangea did not offer IE19 connectors. When I installed the Shunyatas they made an obvious, postive difference. In fact, they worked so well that after two weeks I ordered 2 Shunyata Python CX cables to replace them, and they are even better.

If anybody needs an IE19 power cord let me know.

Also, was the original post supposed to be a review or what?

I never tried Shunyata power cords. So far in my system I have tried PS audio, Audio Quest, and TAD Jellyfish power cords. I can't actually hear much difference between cords and really didn't give them a blind test.

The PS Audio cords are like garden hose, being very stiff and hard to run.

The Jelly Fish are my favorite cord for the price. Check out link with reviews.

Now you can get the same cord that has been cryo treated for the same price.

You will have to cheat to use the cool name of Iron Lung Jellyfish instead of Cryoed hospital cord, but I guess you could come up with your own like the Jellyfish Popsicle Cord.
