Welcome to CP cbro. Can't say much about the add, as I am not familiar with any of those. In general Sony has made some good receivers, Infinity has made some ok speakers, same with Kenwood. They have also made some, less than good. My advice to you is to go slow. Put your read on and explore all there is out there and then start at square one. Ask yourself some questions. How much can you spend? Do you want a system to start out on then upgrade? Do you want a system that will keep you happy for a good length of time? Do you want something for Home Theater (HT) only, music only, or something that will do double duty? If looking for a double duty set up, where do you think you would want it to be best, HT or music?
Do you want to start out with a couple pieces, and add to it, or buy it all in one shot? Do you want new, or is used ok?

Like I said, go slow, when you think you know the answers to these questions, and some others, keep moving slowly and start looking for what you have decided will do what you want. All during this process of learning and deciding on what you where to end up with as an end (if there is such a thing) try and go out and listen to as much different equipment as you can.

Good luck, and don't be shy about asking questions, a lot of good and experienced people here willing to help you.
