upgrading my ICs

Hi guys , I am starting to take alot of advice from some of you forumites and it has proven a smart move.
My next attempt at some audio improvement will be to change out my mix bag of Phillips and no name I-Cs to some 6ft Pythons I saw at CNA for very reasonable prices. I still cannot afford most of the cords you guys are talking about so another opinion I could use. Do you think these Pythons will make a difference and let my tell you ,I'll be one stubborn convert.
Remember I was the one who bought into Rodger Russels' theory on wire hook line and sinker as they say I got pretty much blasted for that. So opening my eyes and seeing what these ICs go for on Audiogon there has got to be something to it.Keep in mind I cannot afford more than what I intend on getting,I also need some other fittings to get for my computer h/u.

One other small thing I have a conversion chart right here and 1 meter is just a little to small ....

    If those are the Pythons I'm thinking of, I don't see how replacing a cheap cable with another cheap cable will give you much benefit. I would suggest you save your coin and wait untill something pops FS here. Did you not pay attention to the 50 buck MIT's thread ? Doesn't get much better than that bro.

    If you want to experience a good cable without spending a ton of money I suggest Blue Jean Cables or Signal Cables. I have both, along with IXOS interconnects, and I prefer the build of the Blue Jean Cables.

    While he may post repetitive posts, give him a break! He did cut loose from the RR dogma and that in itself is worth several passes in my opinion:biggrin: A guy willing to at least try and throw off past beliefs may be a bit antsy and have a bit of doubt. My soap box talk is now done:redface:

    To be fair to the op tonyb those MIT's on sale were speaker cables only

    I just got a nice pair of AQ IC's (should arrive 4/21) on here for $60. Just gotta keep your eyes open (aka.. be faster than me. lol)

    I agree completely! I just thought if the guy is willing to open his mind a bit, we should give him a bit of room to voice his concern and probable apprehension. He may go back to it, but at least he's trying. No foul!!

    I did forget to mention that I did call Blue Jean Cables and were very nice onthe phone.
    What they said to me yes there is a difference (duh) but you need not spend thousands
    on a set of ICs.They make theirs by the order and for me a 1.2 meter or 4ft would be $ 39.00 plus shipping. Now this seems resonable using Belden which I use for various things when I installed electronic security systems...LW
