When you purchased your SVS PB2-Plus, roughly how long did it take before they shipped it to you. Thursday it will be 4 weeks and when I e-mailed Erik, he said it would not ship for another 2-3 weeks. Just tired of waiting for it to get here.

    Hey Grim:

I preordered my PB2+ almost immediately after it went public on the website. With preorders, it can take far longer than you might anticipate, because you are at the whim of the R&D and manufacturing departments and final product releases are almost always delayed longer than originally intended.

With that said, I think SVS missed the initial target date by about 2 weeks or so. Not bad all things considered. I was out on medical disability for a spinal fusion when mine was being built and I'm kinda hazy on when it was actually delivered, but I think it came sometime in early June.

That doesn't help you any, but I wanted to explain how my situation was different than yours and that I probably got one of the first 10 PB2+ that went out the door since I was an "early adopter".

It looks like you are going to miss the LOTR-TTT release, and that's too bad. The AVS "Official SVS Support Thread" has some pretty decent updates on shipping information and I advise you to check there first and then e-mail SVS for an update.

There are some pretty hot under the collar enthusiasts who ordered the PB2+ and have waited about 6-7 weeks and are just getting theirs now. SVS has been honest and forthright but they are at times at the mercy of the supply chains for woofers, amps, and enclosures. While I have not personally discussed it with Ron/Tom/Erik, I have a hunch the enclosures are probably the bottleneck. They got a huge shipment of them in over the past weekend and another arrived yesterday (I think), and they worked most of the weekend to get the first batch out and are epxecting the next batch to go out today and tomorrow. No promises, but yours might very well be in there somewhere.

If you think you're upset and anxious, that's nothing to what SVS is feeling right now, believe me. They want nothing more than to get back to the normal 24-48 hour TAT on orders but the PB2+ is proving incredibly popular beyond anything they ever expected.

In a way, you can thank me for your delay, since my review (the first published) of the PB2+ over at HTF is now approaching 15,000 hits, and resulted in a huge surge in orders immediately after it hit HTF and it has not abated in the ensuing weeks.

FWIW, the PB2-ISD will not delay PB2+ orders one bit. The PB2-ISD will not start production until all backlogged orders of the PB2+ are delivered.

Hope this helps some. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that's all I know as of today.

As Ron Stimpson likes to say: "Your's is coming, and it will be worth the wait."

You will find good stuff and frequent posts by Ron/Tom in both of these forums.

The AVS SVS support thread is probably down on page 2 or page 3, but you can find little tidbits of info in other subwoofer and particularly SVS related posts.

HTF doesn't have an official support thread, bu my PB2+ review thread is a good place to start, as well as other SVS related threads.

    Good luck!

Well I see you got an answer over at AVS already. Please be sure to thank Tom for a quick reply; he is THE MAN!

I'd rather work there than get a free sub. I can't think of a better, more progressive and forward thinking audio company that makes a superior product at a great price and puts the customer first, first, first.

That's just a pipedream, though. I'm just finishing up helping Club Polk members who have either already ordered a sub, or whom I had helped make a purchase decision - like HBomb, Faster, izafar, kberg, Grim, etc.

My contributions and knowledge about SVS are no longer unique and no longer stand out in a sea of Ed Mullen wannabe's.

The word is out and hundreds of rabid supporters and who fancy themselves as "unofficial company spokesmen" have - for better or for worse - jumped on the SVS bandwagon and stepped up to carry the torch and bear the flag.

Thanks a million Dr. Spec. If your ever in the Fredericksburg area, look me up. I'd love to have you over for a beer of two and just kick back and watch the tube. Not only that, see your a hunter, well my father owns 150 acres that has never been hunted. Well, as far as we know. Thanks again.

You're welcome, and I really do think it will be worth the wait.

Thanks for the invite; I just might take you up on that. Virginia sounds like a nice state and 150 acres of unhunted land is bound to yield a monster buck or two.
