Game of Thrones on HBO.

This looks like it will be a good mini-series. I saw the trailer for it and I was impressed.

Two episodes are on tonight starting at 9pm.

Anyone else watching it?

"Winter is Coming" is the only one that is coming on tonight in Atlanta, GA. What two are showing tonight in Canada?

You are correct, I thought I read that they were airing two episodes tonight, but it looks like it is a repeat of the opener. sorry for the misleading info.

Not a bad start to the series so far!

I saw a preview of the first episode on DirecTV channel 101...it looks awesome, along the lines of a LOTR miniseries done very well by HBO.

Yeah, I will be looking at this and "The Borgias" on Showtime and Camelot on Starz. Everyone of these series are worth a look.

I just watched the debut and it is very well done. The only problem is that I caught it because there is a free HBO showing which is ending tonight. So in order to see the remainder of the series I'd have to sign up for HBO :( No thanks.

Ive been waiting for this to debut. It was good all in all, but if they want to keep my watching they need to speed it up a bit. My only real complaint was that it was a very slow moving episode. Which I can understand being new, I just hope it speeds up as it gets going.

Solid B+ for me beyond that.

Episode 2 aired last night. Story is crawling along! Hopefuly it set the stage for an action packed 3rd episode!
Lots of character and family developments in this one! The shrewed ones are coming to light!

Could write more, but do not want any spoilers if anyone has not seen it yet!

It's moving slow but you can see the stage is being set for plenty fighting and drama.

I actually like the pacing.. keeping it paced similar to the novels.. I'm curious how much everyone will dislike the series if it continues at this slower-than-normal pace. I haven't watched episode 3 yet.. but really enjoyed the first 2

I am okay with the pace but with only 10 episodes I hope they do not jam everything into the last episode!

I did not read the books so I do not know what they would or would not have missed!

Another episode tonight, hopefully a stellar one!

This is an adaption from George R. R. Martins books, right? IDK why, but those books are considered the best fantasy books ever written. Because of this, I tried to read them. Everyone says they are so realistic and what not so they are the best... but really, all the books do differently from other books is they keep killing off main characters. Basically, they introduce a main character, you follow him a while, then they kill him... then another character is introduced and they kill him too... I thought the books were redundant at best. I found it annoying to have to continuously learn new characters.

Watched last night episode 6, followed by episode 7 early view on HBO GO. Excellent build up, rather sad that it will be 3 more episodes before it ends. I can't wait to see the rest and to be disappointed that my fav character Eddard would be killed off (according to the storyline).

I think the plan is to do a book per season.. at least that is what the pace seems to imply to me..

Tried to watch the the streamed episode 7 and it kept stopping on me. Have to give it a try again tonight and see if it will come through better.

As a side note, Game of Thrones was renewed for next season right after episode 1. I guess the numbers were that good.

I missed the incest part of the story until episode 7 (am I the only one? won't be the last time, I guess).

This is seriously good sheet. I just finished episode 9 tonight. It's going to be a very long wait for season 2.

This is easily my favorite of anything HBO has ever done, period.

I hope you don't forget to watch Episode 10! (unless that is what you meant?) Great series, no doubt. I enjoyed every minute of it and will be watching out for it next year.

Oh I won't forget just haven't gotten it yet. But, what I did just get, the first four books. Going to try and get through the first two before season 2 kicks off.

I bought the books right after the season ended. It's amazing how true to the books the series is - well, at least from what I've read of the first book. Great read so far and it's really nice to pick up on the little things.
