Vertical Bi-amp question

I'm using 2 stereo amplifiers, each with a single transformer. The rating of each amp is 150 watts per channel. So if 300 watts total power is available, would the bass driver be able to "borrow" some of the total power if needed? (EG... 200w for the woofer 100w for the tweeter.

    OOPs brain ****,was thinking horizontal bi amping.Yes with vertical biamping the channel driving the woofer will draw more power from the power supply than the one driving the tweet.

    Ok thanks, but I'm still wondering if the torrid power supply can give the woofer more than the 150 watts designated for that channel. In other words, pulling some power from the channel driving the tweeter.

    I vertical bi-amp using two Parasound HCA-1500's. My understanding could be wrong, but I don't think it will allow the amp to deliver more than the rated power from the channel driving the woofer. It will however allow the amp to run closer to maximum performance on the channel driving the woofer as the other channel is not also tapping the power transformer for similar demands. I tried both horizontal and vertical bi-amping and like all things in audio you have to try it and evaluate it for yourself. I heard an improvement in SQ with vertical bi-amping on my Magnepan 1.6's. And I also validated it via a double blind, triple dog dare, schoomp, schoomp, diddly-wap, coma, coma, wang-dang scientific test combined with a double validation via many glasses of a good merlot.

    That sounds like a reasonable explanation, regarding power distribution/demand.
