Hey guys I am trying to leave feedback for a member. I clicked on the members "member sales rating" and got this message.

Vette C6.r, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I've left member sales ratings before.

What gives ???

This has been down for some time now. They know about the issue but I guess it's low on the list of priorities.

I guess with a 26 member rating you're not worried. lol

Well, I wouldn't say that. I'm already out 6 or 7 more on my rating, as I'm sure other here are as well. It would be nice to get it back up and I have hounded the powers that be about it but in the whole scheme of things?

I don't want to be "that guy" to Polk headquarters, so I'll let it be what it is until it gets up and running again.

Just wondering if there any updates as to when this might be fixed, because I've made a few purchases and would like to leave feedback.

My guess would be sometime between now and when the Sun dies out.

Word is, Patrick is updating the LSi-M links and dealing with the small stuff. This, according to another thread I read today. I think Heiney's correct.

    I wouldn't hold your breath.

I know this has been said many times before on this forum but I will say it again.

THE FM NEEDS A WORKING FEEDBACK SECTION

Mind reading over the internet is impossible. If I have a great transaction, like I have had with many people on this forum I would love to shout it out. If I have a problem transaction with people on this forum, after working with that individual I want it documented so it doesn't happen again and again to someone else. Without feedback this is not possible. Is there hope for feedback or will we just continue to practice a long learning curve of trust or buyer beware?

Many of these transactions involve hundreds of dollars and it is not cool when you run into problems and find that OH, this has happened before but without feedback you are the next person who may or may not have fallen into a pit!

It will be fixed when the forum is upgraded of which is supposed to happen soon....along with other features. You know what works while it's been down? Asking for some confirmed feedback, phone call and speaking in your actual voice, getting another member to back the transaction up.....good lord ppl.

The recent screwup by a "shoulda known better" member had nothing to do with the feedback system. It had to do with due diligence and blind faith in something one should take a bit more seriously. I'm glad all is well but you folks need to relax on how fast you want to upgrade things and do what everyone else is doing for a moment. I wouldn't heed half the advice from this place sometimes....but that's just me since I'm skeptical at best, and I've been here awhile. Enjoy the normal function of what you own for a bit before trying to rethink the wheel and start spending money.

Oops, thanks Doro. I was not aware there was a fix in the works.

    .

I have done the first two dorokusai, and I guess I don't quite understand the third suggestion of getting another member to back the transaction up. Will you explain that one a little more.

I will also remember to check in with some of the long term skeptics here also.

Thanks for the update on the feedback.

My thought was that it was a reference of sorts but seller requested instead of buyer requested. Like your buddy or unknown individual saying, yes, he's solid type verbage. The overall point was to establish actual communication with who you buy things from. I know its arcane since texting and email is king but damn.

Shack is a great resource...he ran the feedback for many years here...guys dont look at post count....pretty meaningless these days....if you want to ask someone look at who has been here at least a few years.

Fact is this is still a great board and even better club. Full of good people which does allow for shenanigans to occur from time to time.

This is what was done before they installed a feedback link. Come on people this is not rocket science. Until it is fixed just start a thread in the club house or maybe even the flea market section & post about how your transaction went.

You guys seem to keep forgetting that this forum is a non priority, when they get to it after the IMPORTANT matters are taken care of deal.
