Bad Computer Stuff

I'm not the computer/internet expert around this house, and my wife, the former Theresa Talamonti isn't much to write home about in this area either. Stephie's probably the sharpest, but she's got her own laptop, and our main job here would have to be on fire before she'd concern herself with it.

About two or three weeks ago, bad stuff started happening at night. The first thing was the system by which we received email changed. Theresa sorted her way through that, and we had to use an alt method for a few days while she straightened it out (good girl). But there is still a three or four day chunk of time that we have no emails from. That is an impossibility.

Last night, something bad happened again. We no longer have a "Bookmarks" tab at the internet server Yahoo. We have a "Most Visited" tab which contains 6 or 7 our most frequented sites, but all the others are gone. Hundreds. Now we have to type an entire URL into the heading thing in order to move around.

These people suck.

Yeah. I hate viruses, malware, and evil e-criminals. Hackers suck...

I don't think I'm a victim of malice. I think the internet provider Comcast, and the internet server there leave a great deal to be desired.

    George,

Hope you figure it out. If not, I may be able to drop by later this week to lend a hand.

One of these days you may have to upgrade from that DX2 66 mhz.

Sorry, George. I'm not familiar with Yahoo but perhaps there's a solution and explanation for your missing bookmark at this link.

Eventually, you may need to actually speak to Yahoo support. Hope they speak english.

If it's hackers, all I can say is I HATE those 12 year-old evil geniuses.

If it truly is the yahoo.com servers, it generally proves to be true that you get what you pay for (and I believe yahoo.com is free).

George, I see your post and I'm looking at my phone but I see no phone call from The Jersey Grands. Told you before, if you have a computer problem, just say so. I'll be glad to help out.

    George -

I'm not sure if this is related to the forum, or to your computer issues, but I have sent you quite a few messages over the last 2 months via PM. I assumed that maybe I ended up on your Blacklist, but was hoping that was not so. In a message earlier this week that I posted, you responded to me and asked for some info, and I sent you another message. Can you let me know if you received it. If not, there may either be an issue with some spyware or something erasing messages to you, or maybe a forum glitch.
