Tyler Monitors mini reviewish??

I picked up a set of Tyler Acoustics Monitors from Trey last weekend, and I have to say this was by far my best audio purchase ever (thanks again!). I have never been proud of a system I have owned, but I would be happy to show these off to someone.
I've had two other sets of speakers in this same configuration: LSi25, Monitor Audio Silver 8i... and these monitors wipe the floor with them.
With both other sets of speakers I used to have very brief listening sessions because my ears would hurt. I attribute this to either the tweeters, or the fact that I would continue to turn the speakers up in order to get 'better sound'. With the Tylers, I've had them at the same volume all day, I've literally been listening to them since this time this morning.. 12 hours... only taking breaks to walk into the kitchen (a few feet away) and make food (leaving them on, of course). My ears don't hurt in the slightest.
The average db level of them today has been around 75 or so, a moderate level. Today, I have not felt the need to turn them up because they are detailed and throw a great sound stage at this volume (and lower/higher). On my previous speakers, I would listen to music and maybe 1 out of 10 tracks would sound good, and I would smile.... on these, nearly everything sounds good... and certainly everything sounds better than on the previous speakers.
I've listened to a wide range of stuff today
Entire Albums:
Soul Asylum - Black Gold (The Best of)
Clint Marshall - The Fountain (Soundtrack)
Bright Eyes - Lifted or The Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground
Train - Discography (6 albums)
The Starting Line - Say it Like You Mean It
Matt Uelmen- Diablo II (Soundtrack) --- this was really fun
Jeremy Soule - Oblivion (Soundtrack)
Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, Richard Jacques, David Kates - Mass Effect (Soundtrack)
Random Songs:
Third Eye Blind
Sublime
Something Corporate
Weezer
Yellowcard
Everclear
Ben Folds
Out of all that material, I did not find myself frustrated or trying to tweak things to make them sound good, as I had with both other sets of speakers. Of course, some tracks sounded better than others, I do not attribute this to the speakers, but rather the material itself. I was particularly impressed with the Diablo II OST, Sublime - Santeria and the most recent Train album.
All in all, these speakers can really throw down. They are by far the best I've ever owned. They've got detail, a nice sound stage, tight bass and most of all, just about everything sounds good on them.
I have not really found anything I dislike about them at this point, perhaps as I continue to listen, I will find something. I'd deffo recommend getting your ears on a set of Tylers.
Current setup:
PC>HRT Streamer II>Cheapo wire>Aragon 28k>SignalOne IC>Adcom GFA-5800>MIT Exp 2>Tyler Monitors

The Zebra looks stoned!
Nice pics and nice review...glad you are enjoying the new monitors!
I like monitors that do well no matter what the volume.

Great review.
Are these with stock crossovers or did Trey mod it? -

The poor thing was actually born with a birth defect... his front right leg has no bones from the knee down... he has a lot of trouble trying to stand :frown:Great review.

The binding posts have been upgraded, he put dynamat on the driver and he upgraded the XO's... he told me what caps he put it, but honestly, I forget. -
It's all about the speakers. I was tower guy my whole life, until I bought my Fritz Carbon 7 monitors.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Im glad you are digging these man! Thats great!
These have
Clarity Cap ESA on the tweeters
Clarity Cap PX on the midbasses
Mundorf Supreme in the woofer and Eagle in the tweeter
No-Rez on the enclosure where possible
Dynamat on the woofer
And as always - DH Labs wiring
To awesome man - just think they still need to burn in as I only put an hour or so on those crossovers - so in about 180 hours they will be that much better!
Thanks man!
Also these are from the Taylo line up - they use the Peerless midbass - this is below the standard Taylo that used the Revelator and the Seas Excel -- it was for the guys who did not want to spend 2-3,000- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Taylo Mini's right?
That Zebra does look 'wrecked',,.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut) -
I dont think they are the minis - the minis had a 5.25" - these have a 6.5"- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
