I picked up the rt16 speakers for a friend a while back, he would like to build a nice 2 channel system.He wants to by used, Can anyone recommend a good receiver and amp with proper synergy for these speakers .I told him I'm not the guy to ask but I would ask here.Any particular brand that will go well?

    Harman Kardon makes some good receivers, its the only receiver i care to use, Ive had the yamahas, and denons, not my cup of tea.
    Not an Audiophile, just a dude who loves music, and decent gear to hear it with.

    I'd go with a nice vintage Yamaha. A CR-820 or larger would be a great choice. They sound great and look wonderful.

    Thanks for the reply, my friend does like my h.k. sound. We will find him a deal just have to take the time.I keep reading about synergy in allot of the posts.He is using my old stereo for now, I just think he can find something better .
