I bought the Verizon iPhone when it was released, so I no longer have use for my iPod Touch. It is second generation, and I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled the latest version of software. It tested the iPod yesterday with my Klipsch X10i headphones and played music for 10 hours straight, so I figured the battery was good enough and stopped the test. The back has minor scratches and the screen has minor scuffs, but no damage and no major scratches anywhere on the unit. It will be shipped double boxed with new and still sealed Apple earbuds and Apple USB cable.

$110 shipped and paypaled CONUS

can you get new batteries for these things (when the battery does start crapping out)? I've never owned an apple product, but was looking at getting a touch since i need a PDA-like device for some work-related programs that my old crappy Palm Tungesten C can't do anymore...

That's a good question but I bet Apple would service them. I've never had an iPod die, so I've never had to look into it.

I did carry the iPod with me a lot though like a PDA because it is so handy, so I think you're looking the right direction. Plus you can play games, music, videos, internet which the Palm can't do.

You can replace it yourself for $15, but it takes soldering:

Correct, this is the generation before the camera.

No problem Jason and good luck with your search.

Does 2nd generation have wi-fi, etc? The only thing I know is that it does not have the camera or camcorder. Anything else it doesn't come with that the new ones do?

    Thanks,

This one does have wifi and blu-tooth streaming, so the only functional difference is the lack of camera. I was using it will lossless audio files, and 8g was large enough for me to go on vacation and not feel like I was running out of music. It also has a larger processor than the iPhone until recently!
