Here's a video from our latest Vegas trip (4-8 Apr). We got a free upgrade to a Penthouse 1 bedroom suite:

    FYI--
for the added cost over the Tower 1 bedroom suite, I don't think the Penthouse suite is worth it. It's exactly the same floor plan and square footage, it's just decorated a little differently, has a little bit higher end materials, and adds a TV in the bathroom.

Very cool Steve, how much would a Tower 1 suite run?

The Tower 1 bedroom suite (5 nights, Sun-Fri) generally runs about $1170; it can be cheaper sometimes--Our stay in Apr 2010, I got it for $880 for 5 nights. This time the price never went down, it actually went up--so luckily I made my reservations about 3 months out.

I've been in Vegas annually since 1992, and the Mirage has offered the best service to date, though the Venetian is a very close 2nd. I think the Monte Carlo is the best "value" hotel on the strip.

If you don't take a "special promotion" you can cancel your reservations within 48hrs of arrival, allowing you to change your reservation if the price drops. Special promotions, though cheaper, are paid in FULL up front, and cannot be canceled at most hotels. You gotta be careful too, alot of times the "special promotion" price is exactly the same as the regular rate--so check both first before reserving.
