Anybody pick this up yet? I had all plans to pick it up today, but got sidetracked by work, I will have it tomorrow. I've done some poking around on this internet, and it seems to have some pretty good reviews. Can't wait to get my ears around it, now all I have to wait for is a new Them Crooked Vultures album, its going to be a good year!

I actually thinks it's quite good. Gone through the CD about 4 times now.
Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

I bought it yesterday. Love it! Some of the foo fighters best work imo. A few average songs but the many good songs carry the whole album. Make sure to get the bonus cd with the 2 extra songs and 2 videos. Worth it!!

I had gotten burned out on Foo Fighters... but then Chris Shifflett (of No Use For A Name and Me First And The Gimme Gimmes) joined the group, and they seemed to really snap together as a band. Really digging this latest album so far! In fact, it has kept me from listening to the new Alison Krauss.

Got it! I was able to get the bonus version, they didn't have it on the shelf but thankfully I asked and it was in the 'back'. I also picked up (on sale at BB) Nirvana: Live at Reading. I've got a bootleg CD of it somewhere, but the SQ is much better on the DVD, very good night!

Old thread, but I just received this disc yesterday. I'm listening to it now for the second time, and I think it is really great. Sounds decent too. Good dynamics, not too compressed. Still a loudness wars victim like most modern CDs, but not nearly as bad as One by One. I'll be listening to this one a lot.

+1 to that. Did you get the piece of the 'tape' that it was recorded on with your copy? I'm a big fan of the sound on this album, I'm sure that had something to do with the analog recording process. I need to give this a whirl again now that I've added an amp.

I did get the tape. I didn't recognize it at first...
