In market for nice headphones

Need a nice set of headphones. Sick of can sounding cheap ones. They are either not comfortable, no bass or earpiercing highs or all 3 in one. I've moved onto nice equipment in my car, might as well do the same with headphones (and then home lol)
I will only use them for about an hour a day while RUNNING so they must be small in size "active/sport" type (whatever the right name for that is)
Will be connected to "My Touch" phone (if that matters)
Would also like to have in-line volume dial so i could turn the volume up/down without getting my phone..while i'm running lol but that's not a major deciding factor.
Budget up to $100. Will gladly pay a bit over that if it's worth it.

I recently picked up some in ear Klipsch phones for around $80, and have been pleased with the sound quality so far. I'm still going to get something nicer for home soon; probably the Beyer Dynamic DT770's.
I've had great luck out of Sennheisers for bang for the buck cans. The 485 were a great model for cheap.2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

Klipsch headphones are great as I own the X10i for my iPhone and they are the best IEMs that I have used. Not only do they have great sound quality, but they are an ear-plug style earbud so they block out most noise which means you don't have to turn them up as well.
I've heard nothing but great reviews on the Klipsch S5i, even though I have not heard that specific model myself. The Klipsch S5i Rugged are precisely what the name implies -- tough-built miniaturized cans ready for whatever your listening conditions throw at them. Whether you're hitting the treadmill, jamming at the beach or hiking the backcountry, the S5i Rugged delivers superb sound quality for your portable music and full voice control for iPhone, iPad / iTouch owners. Cool flashlight safety case included! -
you might also want to look at the Audiotechnica ATH-M50 a lot of Head-fi members like it as a bang for buck leader, I think amazon has had it for 115-120 lately.Main 2ch -

Gotta be really careful with IEMs for sport use, though. Lots of stories of even the slightest amount of sweat from your ears getting to the innards, and.... poof!
If your phone supports stereo bluetooth, you may find that they've come far enough to be satisfying for the purpose of having some tunes while you're running. Not having a wire will be really nice for that purpose. Sennheiser MM 100's may be just what you're looking for if you can find a good buy on them, they're over ear so much less concern about being damaged by sweat, but the band is behind-the-head, rather than over-the-head, which is generally best for exercise (e.g. with a bicycle helmet).
Klipsch headphones are decent, I have a pair of Image One's that I use with my iPhone at work. I tried out the B&W's that they sell for $300 at Apple, those sound much better but the leather pads make your ears sweat, and I just couldn't have them on for longer than 30 minutes without needing to take a break.
One thing I've learned - if you think chosing loudspeakers is a tough decision, headphones are 100X worse...Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
I've been in love with my Shure HD580's since day one.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

EDIT: I just checked out that link. $69?!?!?! insane. everyone whos reading this should go buy some. now. seriously.
If you only listen to rock, I'd say pick up the Alessandro M-1 (Music Series One) which is essentially a modified Grado SR-125, that is less "shouty and in your face." Really nice cans if you dig that grado sound. like I said, for rock, these are the biz.design is where science and art break even. -

Very highly recommend these. for at-home listening in quiet environmets, you will not likely find it's equal for <$150. Unless you're a bass-head and need an exaggerated bottom end, these are excellent.

Folks, read the initial post, or you're giving the guy bad advice. I don't think he'd be very happy jogging with a pair of Alessandro's. Yeah, they sound great, but they're not going to perform real well when he's running :eek:Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
He wont be able to use none of the Audio Technica headphones for jogging either.SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

I use a cheap pair of skull candy's for running so if they break, get wet, who cares. They were 20 bucks. For nicer ear buds, I use the skull candy Hulua's as they are made from wood and have a mellow and smooth tone to them. I have compared them to the klipsch which were too bright for me and the only Monster/Beats by Dre ones I like over these are the Gold Turbines (all Beats sound like **** to me) but they're $300ish. I found the Hulua's for about $40 on eBay vs $100 everywhere elseNever kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

I just use a pair of Skull Candy Titans. They are in ear style and have a 11mm driver. They run about 40 bucks.AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808

Very true, I just missed that part when reading too fast that he was looking for something for jogging...
I got my dad some sennheiser sport earbuds for xmas and he really likes them.
They were around 40 bucks, and probably better than most skullcandy options.Main 2ch -
