Hey guys,

I just got a new speaker set up and I was wondering if I got a good deal on the package. I got a set of basically brand new rti a3s, and a csi a4 center, an old onkyo receiver, speaker wire and stands for all the speakers by sanus for 400 dollars even. Did i get a good deal? or should I have shopped around longer...

Please let me know what you think!

actually got it off craigslist! A guy was selling these and a set of energy floorstanding speakers, and I chose the polks. He was redoing a clients house (he is a contractor) and the polks were used as a temporary speaker system while their house was being redone. They have less than 10 hours of playtime.

Original boxes are worth their weight in gold and a serious dealmaker for me in the used market.

You don't need that many speakers. You should send them to me so they don't take up anymore space  . Kidding of course. Great deal and I doubt you could do better for the money. What's the model number for the receiver?

the energy speakers were C-500 with a center channel as well. They were a few years old and more used than the polks. They were available for 425$

I agree! I was so torn between the two, but ended up with the polks due to the fact that they are bookshelves and I just dont have the space for floorstanding speakers!

Dont get me wrong the c-500's sounded great and it was a TOUGH decision. It just wasn't the sound I was looking for and they were far too big for the room my speakers are going to be in!
