Has anybody heard of a small artisan company called LFD Audio out of the UK. They make a 60 watt SS integrated amp called LFD LE MKIV. Limited number of reviews but all very positive. They are expensive but each one is handcrafted by the owner Dr Bews.

Does anyone have any insight into this company or their products?

I read a review of the Zero MKIII model that was quite favorable.

I have heard that it prefers very efficient speakers like Klipschorns or LaScala's.

    Here I found it.

At the end of the article it repeats what I said about efficient speakers.

Thanks Joe. I just purchased the newer model MKIV. I will be using it to drive Harbeth
p3ESR monitors. They are 6 OHM speakers with a sensitivity of 83.5dB. I found a few people who have this combo and say it is a great match. LFD is not a very well known company (at least to me) so I was hesitant but finally pulled the trigger.

So you did buy it? When does it arrive and when do we get to hear the review? Where did you purchase yours if you don't mind me asking?

I'm still looking for an SS integrated amp that's a great match to my sensitive Klipsch speakers, so obviously that review caught my eye.

From what I have read and heard LFD makes great equipment. It's funny that you said you use Harbeth speakers with it. After I posted I went and looked around for other opinions and I would say 50% of the reviews I read had the LFD matched up to Harbeth speakers.

I have an Exposure 2010S that I run SDA2B's with. I love it for 2ch. I wish I could pull the trigger on that LFD though. I would love to get my ears on that.

What kind of speaker wire do you use? I am a Kimber Kable guy myself.

I bought the Harbeth and LFD integrated from Sound by Singer. They used to have a large store in NYC but recently closed the brick n morter location and do internet sales. They just recently opened up a smaller listening location in NYC for those who need to listen first. I took a chance with the owner Andy even though in the past he didn't get the greatest press in terms of personality. I however, found him to be great to work with. He is very responsive, knowledgeable, and has taken time to give me some good advice.

I received the Harbeth P3esr speakers today. They look fantastic in Rosewood. The SS integrated won't come for another week or two. LFD is a small company and the amp is handmade by the owner. I will post reviews when I get it.

Joe - The exposure 2010S is a great amp. No regrets there. I was kicking around a bunch of ideas before pulling the trigger on the LFD. I decided to forget budget and just buy something that had a chance to keep me happy for a while. My dealer suggested the LFD as a great pairing with the P3ESR and many users on the Harbeth forum confirmed as well. When my setup is complete, I'll post reviews.

I have 14 gauge Audioquest speaker wire currently. I'll probably try the rig with that and then start tweaking after I get some listening in.

What are you gonna place the Harbeth p3ESR's on?

Make sure it is Rock Solid.

I am in the process of building my own stands. I already have the center column that is hollow and will allow for filling with lead shot. I'm trying to make something nice that my wife can live with and stain to match furniture, etc
