Well, I just took the leap and purchased myself the RTi A5's for my fronts. After countless hours of research, I felt these would be best for my home. Now it's time to figure out what subwoofer to get.

After doing a little research it's looking like the PSW 125 or the DSW Pro 500 might be what I need. What do you have to say about these two subwoofers and do you think they are the best bang for the buck to go with my RTi A5's?

I would love to get your feedback on this.

Thanks!

Wow, cool choice 4ward :D When are you going to post pics? We have a system showcase here as well, just FYI.

DSW Pro500, without question. It's built better and hits harder than the PSW125. It is a perfect compliment to your RTiA5.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I've heard both subwoofers, not side by side. I remember the PSW sounding more "boomy." The DSW 500 Pro paired nicely with my A5s. I am happy with it, but sometimes I wonder if I should have saved the extra coin and went for a DSW 600 Pro instead.

Blehmbo - I wouldn't lose sleep over it but the DSWPro600 does hit a bit harder, which is a given based on driver compliment alone. Keep in mind that you have one of the best subwoofer lineups Polk has made since 2000 and in that, you made an excellent choice.

I have the Polk DSW 500 and 3 Polk PSW-111's. I will tell you that the Polk DSW 500 is much better than anything I have heard in the PSW series.

The Phase and room correction really works. It has been tested by mags.

Here is a review. Hope this helps.
