Subwoofer or satellites first?

I recently got a pair of Monitor 70's front and a CS2 center along with a Pioneer Elite VSX-30 receiver. I've been piece mealing it for cost reasons, and I'm trying to plan my next step. I've heard from varying sources varying opinions on whether to get a subwoofer or a pair of satellites next. Eventually I will get both, but which will have the greatest impact, and I realize alot of this is personality driven. I mainly use it for video games and movie.

If I go for a subwoofer, I've heard alot of people talk about the PSW505. However it seems to be a ghost online, the amazon says ships in 1-3 months and new egg will notify when some are available. Whats the deal with that and what are some other suggestions for a subwoofer for this setup, Polk or other.

If I go satellites, the obvious choice seems like the Monitor 40's. However they would probably be too big to wall mount, but would they work just sitting on the floor of to the side? I watch most of the movies on my bed, which is about 3 feet tall. Or what are some alternatives that sound just as good, or better, that might lend themselves better to wall mounting and would blend with the setup i already have, again Polk or not.

And can wireless satellites be as good as wired? I know this probably could be its own thread, but as a first time sound system buyer how are they? I'm looking around and as much as I'd love satellites, the hassle of wiring around the edge of the room is a HUGE turn off and sort of leans me towards a subwoofer.

I'm open to all advice. Impress me with your knowledge and sway me with your advice.

And as sarcastic as that sounds, I genuinely mean it. People have been great on here so far, they have been extremely helpful and helped me a lot.

I would buy a good sub before rears. I have never heard the PSW505 so won't comment but I recomend Sunfire True subs.

I never heard a wireless speaker that I liked. I would stay away.

If you go with the Monitor 40's buy some speaker stands. Buy ones were they will be at your ear level sitting down.
Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

I think it really depends on what you want next, do you want the ambiant surround, or do you want the impact. Your subwoofer will make a bigger impact, IMO overall in your system. Whats your budget? How big of a room are you trying to fill?

I keep meaning to measure I'd guess around 20x20ish and i'm looking to keep it around under 200-300 for one or the other. And being totally honest its mostly for video games, so not sure if the impact or ambiant sound is more what I'm shooting for lol. But I'll say dragon age 2 has been consuming my life since it came out, and I'm anxiously awaiting the eventual release of SWTOR this year. Thanks

With that size of a room, I'd wait untill your budget is a little more for a subwoofer. (Go big or go home!) I think Epik has a sale on there Legend, or did, 499 I heard? Maybe some of the offerings from HSU or ED too...
