For all you Neil Young fans.

Pick up Neil Young's CD/DVD of Greendale. It's really good, the CD is classic Neil with Crazy Horse. The DVD is Neil solo and acoustic.

Not that it matters that much but it got a 4 star review in Rollingstone.

Here's a good interview: http://www.rollingstone.com/features/featuregen.asp?pid=1906

    Bump........

No Neil Young fans here?

I've been listening to the CD and watching the DVD for couple of days now. It's incredible. Some classic Neil and Crazy Horse. I highly recommend.

The CD is HDCD encoded and the DVD has both DD and DTS tracks.

    I'm here.

I went and saw Neil earlier in the month. While I enjoyed the show, it was mostly due to the staging of the Greendale story. Musically I thought it was OK, but nothing distinctive. Many of the songs sounded the same.

I will say that the sound was the best I have heard at an outdoor setting. Everyword was crystal clear and understandable, which is saying a lot for a first time listen.
    More later,

Nice to hear you checked him out in concert. I came away from the Toronto show liking what I heard but because it was all new stuff I wasn't familiar with the songs did sort of all sound the same.

I may be a little gung ho on the album because it sort of takes me back to the concert. But I really do like it. I'm also a huge Neil Young fan. ;)
