Hi everyone and thanks for the opportunity to join your forum. I've been out of the audio loop for awhile, but now have the opportunity to trade my 98 Honda ACE for a pile of audio equipment and I'm trying to determine the value of this stuff. Found some good info from Google searches, but would value your expert opinions if you are willing to give them.

Here's the list:

1- McIntosh MC 2105 Amp...totally refurbished
2- SAS-Bazooka....model, etc unknown
3- JVC CD-4 Disc Demodulator 4DD-5
4- Cambridge Soundworks....Power SW 85w was all info I could find
5- Hafler Pre-Amp model 100
6- NAD 3020 amp
7- Carver Sonic Hologram Generator C-9
8- Timepiece by DCM speakers...no other info avail.
9- 2 Polk audio speakers...no other info avail
10- Epicure amp ('79 model) 100w/channel
11- 2 custom speakers made by a subsidiary of Bose for an airline (ground up...coil and all).. difficult to price this one
12- AudioFile Home Theater subwoofer...no additional details on case
13- Epicure Amp, 2 channel, 105 w/channel

I know some of the equipment is very generic and price could likely have wide variance dependant on several factors. I am just looking for ballpark estimates. I have estimates I threw together off my google searches and other forums, and would like to compare with the expert knowledge here to see if I am even close.

Much thanks in advance.
Dan

Yeah, I know. I'm pretty confident it isn't hot...he works in electronics, system installs, etc., just stuff he's garnered over the years and his wife final dropped the ultimatum...doh! So, he's been looking to unload for a few months now.

If he can't give you more info on the items in question,???.
He knows what he's getting doesn't he.

Makes me wonder about his agenda to make things seem better than it really is..

If you buy a McIntosh piece, DEMAND that it be shipped in a factory container (they are available). The glass fronts can be fragile and be damaged in anything but a factory box. McIntosh has one of the finest shipping containers available.

I bought my pre used with the 3D front and the seller shipped in the original cartons and they arrived pristine. Others have not been so lucky.

It doesn't help that your MO is minivan? Perhaps you've heard of the infamous white van speaker? lol

If you're legit and you really need pricing on ALL that...just go to audiogon.com and pay the fee to access their bluebook information?

    Good Luck.

Sell the bike and go buy whatever gear you might want. If that stuff was really worth much he could have already unloaded it since he is in the business. There might be a really nice piece...or two...then again...maybe not.

I agree. He's off his rocker as some of that stuff is simply junk. The only pieces that even remotely interest me would be the NAD and McIntosh amplifiers.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
