Just installed my new purchase; an APC H15. Should I leave this unit on at all times, or control it with the 12v trigger to turn on when the AVR is turned on? Am I loosing any protection when the unit is off? The manual isn't very clear on this. Thanks

I leave mine on 24/7 unless I am going away for a few days and then I i unplug everything just in case...

I leave mine on all the time and unplug on vacations. I like the dimmer function that all lights can be turned off. Great unit.

Leave it on, page 6 in the manual.
On/Off switch
Controls power to all 12 outlets. APC recommends the unit be
left ‘on’ at all times. -
I use an H15 in my HT system. It's been on continuously for several years straight and I have never once had any issues. It's been a solid unit for me. Especially given it's relatively low price.
