Hello all,

Total newb here so I apologize in advance for the stupid questions. Okay, here it goes. I have decided that my best route to go is buying a reciever (either the onkyo 508, denon 391, or yamaha 467) and piecing together some polk audio speakers.

I really like the new 5.0 package Polk is offering called the TL150 Blackstone found at Best Buy. It replaced the RM6750 5.1 package as far as I can tell. However, I really only want the center speaker due to the compact size and the fact that I can't fit the CS1 under my T.V. at home. So this is what I am thinking at the moment.

C. Speaker: TL1 Center (from the TL150 5.0 package found at best buy)~$70
Front R/L: Monitor 30's for $95 or M10's for $75
Rear R/L: Either TL1 rear satellites~$160, or RM6750 Satellites~$90
Subwoofer: PSW-10 for $75

I listened to the T15's at best buy, which I believe are the same speakers as the M10's, and I thought they sounded pretty good. A lot better than the bose that cost an extra $80. So I assume the Monitor 30's will sound even better.

Now for your advice. Will the center speaker sound good with a pair of Monitor 30's or M10's as front mains? Or will it totally not match the bookshelfs?

Also, will the rear satellites possibly from the older RM6750 sound decent, or should I just get the newer TL150 series Satellites to match the center speaker? One other option is to get a pair of used M10's and use them as rear surounds. I just don't know if I can hang something that heavy from the ceiling though, plus I think that would look ugly in our living room.

I know the sub is on the low end, but it fits my budget and I share a wall with a neighbor. I'm thinking I will upgrade to a better sub when we move into a single family home.

What's your thought on this setup. Do you think it could work. Or should I just buy the older RM6750 and call it a day?

Thanks for the help guys.
