i think I'm done buying for a while

In the past 2 months I've totally transformed my living room Audio system. I went from Tsi 100 fronts to Monitor 60's. CS10 center to CS2(big difference). To top it off Last night I bought a Pioneer 1020 AV receiver, it was an open box deal for $350. It replaces a Denon 590, which will go to my garage sound system. I moved the Tsi 100's to surrounds, they still sound awesome.

So far so good with the Pioneer, I know it doesn't have pre outs, but for $350 I thought I'd give it a shot. I think it has plenty of power for my speakers. I haven't really had the chance to really get into listening to music yet. My kid is sick so I have to be quiet.

    I know the feeling. Everything in my HT, except for my Monster HTS, has been purchased between December and now. In the last 5 months, I've probably dropped 5k into moving from my beginners colaboration, to a real HT system. lol. Matching speakers and all.

    I hear ya, surprised my wife hasn't left me. Since January I've bought 2 pairs of RT800is, CS400i, RTi10s, Rti12s, CSi5, Pioneer VSX-9040TXH, Yamaha 667, Monitor Audio R250 x 3, Paradigm Cinema 330 x 3, SVS PB12 Plus/2, Samsung PN58C8000, etc, etc, etc

    I made a promise that I was done, let's hope I can keep that promise :)

    Things have gotten out of hand for me as well. Every time I think I'm done i find something else that I need to finish my system. I keep thinking I just need this one more thing and my system will be complete until I get it when all of a sudden I realize I 'need' just one more thing.

    I can sympathize. But I 'called' and end to HT last year and have been pretty good there. But as for two channel.....forget about it. TUBES have arrived and a Tube CDP is on the way and after that...you know what the slippery slope is...'tube rolling'? And more to follow. Be afraid...be very afraid that your wallet is no longer in your control.

    Ditto. What keeps me buying stuff is the fact that every time I upgrade I find that the weak links in my system become more pronounced prompting even more upgrades. Sometimes the wife just doesn't understand. She's been a champ thus far so I'm pretty lucky.
