Portal 2

I liked this one better than the first one. Saying something like 'the first one was more original' is kinda obvious. Of course its more original because its, well, the original.
The second games is longer, has more functionality, has just as much humor, and is an overall better game. -

Well, not exactly. Take HL and HL2... they are both original. In this I mean that in each game you are presented with a series of situations, none of which are similar through the first two games. HL 1 and 2 present entirely different issues, and you don't feel like "oh, where have I seen this before?"
Portal 2 is not like this. Sure, if you like puzzles, there are more of them, and at a certain point there are more ways to solve them... but I felt like the story line was lacking and the game was a bit repetitive.
Who knows, maybe it's just me -
Yeah, its probably just you. I'm not trying to get on your case, but would hate for someone to not buy this game based on your review.
Virtually every game review site give this game glowing reviews, so the vast majority of people out there love this game. -

Yeah, I just checked the metascore and it's up there with hl and hl2 at 96. It must be me, cause it was so damn boring that I noclipped through the last few chapters  -

I just finished the game this morning. I enjoyed it just as much as the first game if not more. Its a shame though there is no custom maps option, that would have really bumped up the replay value.
I probably will be replaying the game soon to get a better grasp of the story. Some points I didn't quite understand why I was doing certain tests( like running through the tests with the "creator") And also, how did she (the woman you control) wake up in that room inprisoned when she escaped in the first game?AVR: H/K AVR240

I found the second one to be a lot funnier with great voice acting, animation, graphics, and sound.
Feels like a meatier version of the first and I am greatly enjoying it.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //

They updated the ending of the first game. At the end she is told to assume the party escort submission position. I don't recall exactly how it happened, but I'm sure you can find it on youtube.
I thought Portal 2 was great. I really enjoyed the Cave Johnson stuff. My only complaint would be that I thought the puzzles were a little too easy (single player mode, haven't tried coop yet.). -
Well, anyone who felt a little disappointed with the lack of extra content portal 2 provided (like me), you should be happy to hear this...

Nice!
I guess that's nice of them. I usually play games for the storyline, and not the actual playing, so I never really mess with DLC -
I beat the co-op and single player and traded it in toward L. A. Noire. New levels are nice, but without the story elements, not a keeper for me.Equipment list:

I know, old game, old thread.. But to anyone who is interested, the new DLC came out today and its completely free. Though it seems most of it adds more to the co-op aspect of the game (which doesn't help me since I never played it to begin with, mostly cause I didn't know anyone who sit down and take it seriously). There is a challenge mode for SP that records your time and number of portals, but I was disappointed I didn't see the "advance" levels like the original.
anyways just a heads up.AVR: H/K AVR240
