Looks like Manchester United will play against Barcelona on the Fedex Field, July 30.

News are from December, and I can't find anything more recent...but if they play I WILL BE THERE!!!

Anyone local has any news on this? When would tickets be up for sale?

Yea, this is good stuff. I think a pack of us are riding up from Cville to catch the game. I've heard tickets won't be on sale for at least another month (late April/early Mayish, but that's just rumors so it may very well be sooner.

According to the Washington Post they will go on sale in late april through ticketmaster. You also can become a season ticketholder with DC United for $342(19 remaining games) and the Manchester United vs FC Barcelona is included.More infa at dcunited.com

Just back from a couple of weeks in Greece. Caught a few games over there...as you know, Europeans, unlike us, worship the soccer gods. Actually, I was pretty impressed with the games I got to watch on the Euro-tube and I'm not normally a soccer fan. Barcelona looked pretty good!

The whole world has soccer fever...maybe traveling some would help with that in the U.S.

Getting ready to hit the road. Very excited to watch these teams play!!

I would've loved to plan something with the locals but unfortunately it's going to be get in, watch the game, get out. Maybe get some sleep if we get too tired to continue, but we need to be home tomorrow by noon.

A little crazy but not every day you get a chance to watch these teams.

Yes, it was hot. But the trip was worth it. Seeing all those stars was just awesome.

The stadium was packed. 81,000. I bet it hasn't been that full too many times. I saw plates from all over the country in the parking lot.

No Hope Ben, but there was enough eye candy to keep us happy

oh, and I HATE DC traffic :mad::mad:

Someday I'll get the priviledge of attending another MU brawl at their home field! Nothing quite like that experience. Even attending a Packers game at home doesn't rise to the level of awe and intensity of MU at home!
