Give a call into Emotiva. Something just doesn't sound right.

Sorry to hear about your problems.

Something to remember about volume levels. It takes 10 times the power to double the volume level. Going from 95 to 200 wpc, you should notice a volume difference but the Emovita should not be the weaker.

Also your Yamaha might not be the best preamp. I don't know this model and did not read any reviews but I have tried twice to use AVR's as preamps and have not liked the sound.

Then again there might just not be synergy between the Yamaha and the Emovita. I have had components that sounded great in other systems but when you put them to gather they don't sound good at all.
