I helped my daughter move yesterday.
We hooked up a mini Sony stereo. My daughter plugs her ipod in to it.
I notice only one channel is working.
Her ipod is in need of repair.
Between my wife, 2 daughters and their freineds, none of them noticed.
I long ago stopped trying to figure out women and music.

It took my wife a while to noticed, but she did eventually figure out that one of the channels on the rather nice pair of IEMs that I bought her was out. She only noticed when she finally put it in though, because she usually just walks around with one side dangling.

I think it has something to do with women's tolerance of crap, and why the human race would've long since become extint is women didn't have such a high tolerance for crap.

he said it sounded live.. we cranked it.. and it did sound very good.. think of the Decemberists type indie rock..

My wife doesn't even like to stay in my man cave for more than a minute. She says it smells. I think that's a good thing after being married for twenty years.

Too many rubber woofer surrounds I guess. Most everybody that comes into it says it smells great. I burn candles alot out there only because I like smelling scents in an invironment. I also have a water fountain running when I'm out there. Two light settings also.

My wife and my step-daughter could still care less also.

If only I had it 20 years ago. Wait I had the ESS's and I guess they did the trick back then. She married me after a few sesions in front of them.

    Listening sessions....
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

My favorite way of listening to music these days?

    -Pandora on my blackberry
-Streamed to my car's stereo wirelessly via bluetooth

That's a stock, crappy car stereo with no amps, etc.

How does it sound? I couldn't care less. I dig it.

^^ +1! For good, or for bad, Pandora is changing the way I'm listening to music... I'm finding lots of new stuff I never would have heard before, but my attention span seems to be shrinking... yikes.

I play it through my car stereo, too, but I have done a few upgrades there.

In the end, while I really do want it to sound good, it's always all about the tunes for me.

Pandora really is great. It isn't the highest quality of sound but streamed through my Blue Ray player onto my SDA's, it sounds pretty impressive. And like Madaudioguy points out, it helps me find a ton of stuff I would have never come across otherwise, and then I can go out and purchase the albums from there.

You may try putting on something like this to get her interested in your hobby.
