Welcome aboard
The Monitor 70's are the top of the line in that category just as the TSi500's. If you've got the bucks, go for the top-o-the line, besides, the CS20 pairs up perfectly with the 500's.
As far as overkill with the sub, I run my 70's with an Onkyo 290W sub and an Epik Empire 600W sub (1500W peak power), I think you'll be okay with the 500's.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
