it is funny to me when I see people getting rid off very good gears and they buy this "new junk"... I wonder if they have any knowledge in what they are getting.

Not every Old is GOLD. Not every New is Crap.

So, you need to be in the know or you'll end up with Old or New Crap.

Selling an old crap to buy a new crap is just a waste of money for sound quality but it may at least make the owner happy. Sometimes, Happiness is all that matters.

Did I say every old gear? Because I do not remember saying that. I said some people sell very good gears and they get the new crab. I do not say that all new gear is crab but 70% is!.just an example with my friend. He sold his Sanyo plus serie the amp, preamp and tuner for $400 and He got a new Sony receiver. He paid $300 for it. Even though I have a bryston amp I would bough it from him to have in my other room, but He never told me he was going to sell it.

No, You didn't say "Every" and I don't meant you said it either that. It's just a general way of expressing about OLD vs. NEW.

Anyway, I wasn't implying you meant that either so don't try to remember it.

Well, it may be True but it makes the people Happy. You know? You don't want to eat the same cuisine everyday. The owner of the Good Old Gear may want to try something New even though he may not realize that he is actually paying for a New Gear that might not even sound as good as the Old one he got rid of. But it's my point, isn't it? It makes him Happy and it's all that matters.

May be he is now more into the HT stuff than the stereo stuff. But it's too bad he didn't tell you first.

I have a lot of Good Old stuff and I am happy as can be when it comes to audio.

OPM! Let them sell off their older good stuff. I suggest you buy it off of them and let them by the Best Buy open box what ever and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread!
