Well today I cleaned up and organized my entertainment unit and played with my new speakers. I am really pleased with these SDA's. I'm driving them with my Pioneer Elite VSX-49TXi,which I know is not ideal. My Rotel power amp will arrive Monday and I'm looking forward to seeing if there is any improvement sonically. Anyway I made a video and I hope you like it.

The second recording definitely sounds better: cleaner, more detail and texture and bass.

    What did you do?

I moved the speakers back close to the wall.

That makes sense. The manual for SDAs suggests about a half foot from the back wall or so. 4-8' spacing between the L/R speaker depending on the listening position and the room. And at least 3' from the side wall on each side of the room.

Lastly, the speaker fronts should be on the same line of sight with nothing protruding beyond that plane.

    Have fun!

I got my Rotel amp today. The combination with my Elite reciever as pre is great. This little Rotel is fantastic. It really brings the sdas to life.

I made another video. I think with the Rotel it sounds a whole lot better.I did have a couple of problems though. I had issues with the mic (soory) I also think I may have had the mic volume set a little high. Hope you enjoy.
